• Dr. Vivek Mangla is Director of Gastrointestinal and Hepatopancreatobiliary (GI & HPB) Surgical Oncology at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Vaishali and at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Patparganj.

• Dr. Vivek completed his MBBS degree from Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi in 2003. He did MS(Surgery) from the same college.
• He did his MCh (GI Surgery) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi (2010).
• Dr. Vivek became Fellow of the Association of Surgeons of India (FAIS) in 2015 and of the Association of Colon & Rectal Surgeons of India (FACRSI) in 2016.
• In 2017, he did a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (FALS) (HPB Surgery).

Publications and Prizes

• In 2007, Dr. Vivek was awarded ‘Best Abstract’ for Oral Presentation for the paper titled “Laparoscopic Common Bile Duct Exploration” at the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology (IASG) annual conference at New Delhi.
• He got ‘Best Special Mention Poster Prize’ for the poster titled “A randomized clinical trial comparing ‘duct-to-mucosa’ and ‘dunking’ methods of Pancreaticojejunal Anastomosis following Pancreaticoduodenectomy - An interim analysis” at Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology (IASG) annual conference held at Hyderabad, India in 2010.
• Dr. Vivek won the Gastrointestinal Surgery quiz at Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology (IASG) Annual Conference, Hyderabad, India in 2010.

• Dr. Vivek Mangla worked as a Junior Resident, Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi from 2004 to 2007.
• He gained experience as Senior Resident, Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi (2008-2011). 
• He became Senior Research Associate at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi in 2011.
• Dr. Vivek Mangla served as Assistant Professor (Surgical Hepatology), Department of Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary (HPB) Surgery, Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, New Delhi from 2011 to 2013.
